Time to Shine, Training to Succeed Set for May 4th

Time to Shine, Training to Succeed, a workforce initiative of the City of Decatur with community collaboration is set for Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Aquadome (1202 5th AVenue SW in Decatur).  Individuals from the Career Center and NACEE (North Alabama Center of Educational Excellence) will be present to discuss registration for occupational training.  New opportunities for electricians, plumbers/pipe fitters, millwrights, welders and those with experience with HVAC/Duct Work are available in the Decatur area.

The day is broken up into 2 sections —

  • 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. and
  • 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.

You must be 18 years of age or older to qualify.  Those interested in applying for financial funds/training should bring:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Social Security card
  • Income Tax infor
  • Proof of income for last 6 months
  • Proof of layoff (if applicable)
